The depot is located in West Melbourne opened in 1964 and is a key servicing and stabling maintenance site for diesel run trains in Melbourne.
The project, led by principal contractor Laing O’Rourke, included the upgrade of tracks 5-8, new office, storage areas and new dangerous good fluid reticulation.
